What does Gold Fill mean?
Gold Fill is a system of making jewellery that involves bonding 14 or 18k Gold under extreme heat to a base metal (usually silver). Plated jewellery usually only has a thin 1% gold coating painted on, which is why it often tarnishes quickly and wears off. Gold Fill has a 5% level of solid gold and is water resistant, warm gold colour, has no nickel or nasties in, and is long lasting and high quality.
