About Us
Like a lot of other families we were split up over Covid. I was in Europe and Annie was here in Sydney. When I came back to Australia in December 2021 we were so excited to be back in the same country together and decided to begin working on something special to us - a passion project and business that would mean we could spend every moment we could making up for lost time. So we became Team Bixby!
Luckily we get on like besties - travel, sunshine, music and living life as positively and enthusiastically as possible are all things we have in common. We love to laugh and send our energy out into the world, and we dress and accessorise to show off a bit of our personalities. Annie is more of a neutral lover and I like a chaotic riot of colour which is why I'm not allowed near our instagram feed! 
A trip to India in 2021 reminded me that women should celebrate our femininity and personality. Every woman there seems to look vibrant and colourful, even in the most remote areas. Here in Australia we tend to underdress for occasions, rather than dressing up and sparkling which is such a shame.
Like many brands we try to minimise the effects on the planet of mass produced accessories. All the colourful gem components we use are recycled glass and we love the thought of the secret history they might bring to your new pieces.
We can alter the lengths of some of our bracelets and necklaces for you on the spot at our pop ups which means less waste and less disappointment at lack of choices or styles. Affordable luxury can be had for a decent price without ruining the environment, but of course it's not always easy to be a consumer brand in a western country and be completely free of any effects.
Whatever other components we need to adorn you in style, we try to ethically source from other companies in Australia who are trying to do their bit for the environment. All our packaging is made from paper and cardboard from No Issue, and it’s recyclable, or it can be used to store your beautiful Bixby pieces!
